This coffee from the Kayanza region of Burundi offers spectacular and quite complex notes.
It is fresh, delicate on the palate and reminiscent of white wine! It's clear as river water!
Lightly roasted to bring out all the complex nuances, it can be easily drunk as a filter coffee or an iced coffee. In espresso, it will be tangy, even sparkling!

Ephrem Sebatigita has over 35 years of experience in the specialty coffee industry, as a producer, consultant, mechanical engineer in mills and CQI processing instructor.
Coffee is a family tradition, since his paternal grandfather, Ntirandekura, was one of the first promoters of coffee in Burundi in the 1930s. The Munkaze washing station is located in the natural region of Buyenzi , in the province of Kayanza, near the Kibira forest.
Each year, Ephrem extends its plantation by 500 feet with new plantations. In addition to its own cherries, the station collects those from 500 smallholders in the nearby hills. The lots are usually separated by the different hills where the growers are located, and some are separated by a single grower.
