  • Aroma and flavor :

RED WINE, SPICES, BROWNIE

This coffee from Peru crafted with love by Don Ciro hits Canadian soil for the first time and I'm honored to be able to roast it and share its fantastic flavors with you.

A cup of Don Ciro is rich and comforting, perfect for every morning with notes of a good red wine, the tenderness of a chocolate brownie and a slightly spicy finish.

  • Have your job at heart
Don Ciro is a native of the Andes Mountains in Peru. He now lives in the village of Jorge Fuentes, province of San Ignacio in the north of the country.
He used to be a "moonshiner" in the Andes, but he was unable to continue this work as large multinational companies arrived in the region. He then had to move with one of his sons and find a new job, the cafe.
He is now the leader for the coffee farming community and he loves knowing the tasting notes and all things roasting related.
In fact, it is one of the youngest communities in northern Peru and Don Ciro's potential is limitless.

  • Montreal collaboration

I am very happy to be working with Anna and Sebastian from Balam Coffee Project, who are specialty coffee importers located in Montreal. I thank them for having been able to get their hands on this excellent coffee and thereby start a great local collaboration!
